Defining Wilde Moon Imagery
Wilde is our last name, chosen and embodied; more importantly "Wilde" to us, is a way of perceiving this human existence. If we are going to be technical, some other definitions of Wilde are: unmanageable; rowdy; headstrong; also, ill-brought up, and unruly.
These definitions really resonated with Jenn even though they come off as somewhat negative; they are the qualities she likes the most about herself. To Jenn and Garrett being Wilde is freedom. Wilde is knowing one's self and connecting with the world around you. Wilde is no past, no future, only the present.
The moon, in our business name is important for a few reasons. First, the obvious... Garrett loves taking night photos, and therefore the New Moon, is our favorite time of the moon cycle, and you can often find us out being wild, adventuring into the early morning hours to get that epic milky way shot. The moon also represents intention and being aware of the cycles of nature, something that is grounding and brings you into the present.
We were both born and raised in Utah; and if we are being honest, we couldn’t wait to leave. As you will get to know, we both crave new experiences and freedom.
Growing up in Utah, being non-LDS and more alternative left us feeling a bit stifled and we wanted to foster a more diverse and expansive life experience.
Our first big adventure together was moving to the PNW shortly after getting married; from there we continued to wander but kept the Seattle area as our home base.
A few years later, Jenn longed to move back to Utah so our kids could spend more time with their grandparents, so in about a month's time, we were back in Utah.
The journey has not stopped, we love a road trip or camping adventure, the more remote the better! Now our home in Utah is more like a base camp, because home, is truly wherever we are in the wild.

Garrett ~ Taurus (sun) & Sagittarius (rising)
He is passionate about art, nature, philosophy, the unknown, and pizza with a good beer! Garrett's goal is to quit his day job and spend life traveling with Jenn and his dogs, making art while exploring the roads less traveled.

Jenn ~ Sagittarius (sun) & Taurus (moon)
She is a cat lady, and proud of it; with a passion for sappy love stories, spreadsheets, and writing. Jenn's goals are to spend most of her time on dirt roads winding into the unknown, keep telling the most epic love stories of couples from all walks of life, and to have more time to paint and share her art with the world.
